Looking for a place to dance?

Friday night is our weekly ballroom dance night in the Main Ballroom. The evening begins with a beginner friendly ballroom dance group lesson. Then enjoy the music of our local DJ as you dance your favorite Ballroom, Latin and club dances.

On the First and Third Fridays we have Latin Dances in the Club. On the 2nd and 4th Fridays we will hold Country and West Coast Swing Dances in the Club.

We also conduct other dances such as a weekly Shag dance on Wednesdays and special dances on the 5th Friday. So follow us here and you will always find a fun dancing event at DanceSportVA.

FRIDAY BALLROOM DANCES

All about Friday Dance at DanceSportVA

Join us at DanceSportVA for a great evening of dance you won’t find anywhere else. No Partner Needed!

Come early for a beginner ballroom dance lesson at 6:30pm. This class is free with your Friday dance admission and gives you the basics of the dance being taught later in the evening.

The evening begins with a beginner friendly ballroom dance lesson at 7;30pm (Also included). After the lesson the Junior Ballroom is open for drinks and snacks (all included). The enjoy a night of social dancing with our in-house DJ. Ladies- we have dance hosts to keep you on the floor! A great evening with wonderful people who just love to dance.

The second Friday of the month is a themed dance conducted jointly with A Time to Dance. The club will also be open for a milonga, while we do ballroom in the main ballroom.

Teacher Raffle Dance

Once a month we run a special teacher raffle dance as a fund raiser for our Youth Scholarship fund. Students buy raffle tickets for the teacher of their choice. The winners all dance together with the teachers at intermission of our 2nd Friday dance. 100% of the proceeds go to the students and the studio matches to double the impact. Thanks to all who participate & contribute.
